Overview

The Product Management feature enables you to seamlessly connect products from Dropi with your Shopify store. You can search, filter, and link Dropi products to existing Shopify products while controlling which product data to sync.

Finding Dropi Products

Access the Products Page

Navigate to the Products tab in your Ecomdrop IA Connector dashboard. Ensure you have configured your Dropi integration first in the Configuration section.

Search for Products

Use the search bar to find products by:
  • Product ID
  • Product name
  • SKU
The search supports real-time filtering across your Dropi catalog.

Apply Filters

Toggle between product types:
  • Favorite Products (default view)
  • Private Products (your private inventory)
When searching with keywords, filters are disabled to show all matching results.

Product Information

Each product listing displays:
  • Product ID and SKU
  • Product name and image
  • Category tags
  • Sale price and suggested retail price

Linking Products to Shopify

Select a Dropi Product

Click the eye icon next to any Dropi product to open the association modal.

Choose a Shopify Product

Select an existing product from your Shopify store to link with the Dropi product. The app will load all available Shopify products when the modal opens.
The app only supports linking to existing Shopify products, not creating new ones.

Map Product Variants

If both products have variants, map Dropi variations to your Shopify variants:
  • Match by size, color, or other attributes
  • Some variants can be left unassociated
  • View SKU and pricing for each variant

Configure Sync Options

Choose which data to sync from Dropi:
Enable Save Dropi Name to overwrite your Shopify product title with the Dropi product name.
Enable Save Dropi Description to sync the product description from Dropi to Shopify.
Enable Save Dropi Images to import up to 5 product images from Dropi’s gallery (hosted on CloudFront CDN).
Enable Use Suggested Barcode to apply Dropi’s suggested barcodes to your Shopify variants.

Complete the Association

Click Sincronizar to link the products. The app will:
  • Create the product association in the database
  • Update Shopify product data based on your settings
  • Store variant mappings for order processing

Managing Synchronized Products

Viewing Associations

Switch to the Sincronizados (Synchronized) tab to see all linked products:
  • View Dropi product name and ID
  • View associated Shopify product title and ID
  • See when the association was created
  • Check sync settings for each product

Removing Associations

To unlink a product:
  1. Navigate to the Sincronizados tab
  2. Find the product association
  3. Click the Eliminar (Delete) button
  4. Confirm the deletion
Removing an association does not delete products from either platform. It only removes the link between them.

Product Association Database

The app stores the following data for each association:

Pagination

The product list displays 10 products per page. Use the pagination controls to:
  • Navigate between pages with Previous and Next buttons
  • View the current page number and total pages
  • See the count of products displayed vs. total available

Best Practices

Product Matching

Match products with similar names and SKUs to avoid confusion during order processing.

Image Management

Review Dropi images before syncing to ensure they match your store’s quality standards.

Variant Mapping

Map all variants accurately to ensure correct inventory tracking when orders are placed.

Regular Syncs

Periodically review your synchronized products to ensure data remains accurate.

Troubleshooting

  • Verify your Dropi token is configured correctly in Settings
  • Check that you have products marked as favorites or private in Dropi
  • Try searching with a specific product ID or name
  • Ensure you have products created in your Shopify store
  • Check your app permissions include product read/write access
  • Refresh the page and try again
  • Verify the Dropi product has images in its gallery
  • Check that image URLs are accessible from CloudFront
  • Ensure your Shopify plan supports the number of images being added
  • Ensure both products have variants configured
  • Check that variant titles or SKUs match between platforms
  • Try manually selecting each variant mapping
